That’s my mom and dad above. Billy Earl Grizzle and Carol Lynn Denton, in the mid 1960’s. I’m Danny, oldest son in the middle, with my brother Mark on my dad’s lap and youngest brother Gary in my mom’s.

This is a free website, dedicated to family and loved ones.

I come from a large family with many genealogists. One goal of this website is to publish their extensive work. The internet is perfect for sharing. Thanks to the magic of Google, I hope this leads to contact with distant relatives. Maybe we can fill in the blanks in each other’s stories and research.

As a teenager, I was consumed with interest in photography. “Someday,” I thought, “people will want to see these pictures.” Besides publishing family history on this website, I hope to contribute through true archival curation of family photographs.

Easier said than done. Anybody who has held an old photograph in hand long after living memory of the people, places, and events pictured knows how frustrating it is that no one ever took the time to make notes on the back.

I’ve seen nameless photos discarded in the trash. Without identification, or a family member who cares, old photos and negatives are often regarded as rubbish. A few are saved as curious anonymous mementos, perhaps used for restaurant decor.

Now, with the internet, digital photography makes it easy to share photos, but almost no one knows how to properly prepare digital images for archival storage. If you possess original images or negatives of any family line of interest here, please contact me.

I hate “Under Construction” notices on websites. But all genealogy websites are under construction, or else the author has quit. The work is never done.
